Nike, Weyerhaeuser, Outdoor Industry Assn. Join NW Business; Urge Action on Climate Bills

*Hundreds of businesses across the region demand strong, quick action*

Leaders representing the breadth of Northwest businesses, from Oregon, Washington, Montana, and Idaho will express their strong support for immediate action on comprehensive clean energy and climate policy during a during a phone based news conference at* 11:00 AM. PDT on Thursday, June 3, 2010.* They will describe why ending our addiction to fossil fuels is important to their company and the depth of this support across a wide range of businesses. They will also provide information on the amount and breadth of the business support for comprehensive clean energy and climate policy throughout the region, including employment figures for companies that are urging action.

During the teleconference, speakers from Oregon and Washington will reveal the findings of recent statewide polls showing strong support for strong climate and clean energy legislation.
