Welcome to the ERCexchange! The Environmental Resource Center and SunValleyOnline.com have partnered up to bring you this free, public service to residents and businesses providing a convenient way to exchange, re-use, or sell items they no longer need or want.
You can post listings of items and materials you wish to sell or otherwise dispose of, or browse for items currently available in your area. Each listing contains a description of the material or item, contact information, and in some cases cost and delivery information. The actual exchange transactions are carried out directly between the interested parties.
By exchanging unwanted items with others, you divert tons of waste from the landfill. Thank you for your contribution, and remember one person’s trash is another person’s treasure!

Who Can Use It?
The ERCexchange is designed to assist residents and businesses of Blaine County to sell, give away or exchange items they no longer need or want. Anyone, regardless of where you live, may post items and respond to a post. You do not have to live in Blaine County. Listings are posted for free.

Making an exchange is quick and easy. Just an email can get you started.
Sign up by creating a User Name and Password. You will receive a free email address (i.e. UserName@SunValleyOnline.com) you're welcome to use, but you may also use your personal address for all correspondence within the ERCexchange, just fill in your preferred method of contact when you create your account. Once you have submitted an item and it has been posted, that is the email address SunValleyOnline.com will use to notify you of your postings, alerts, etc.
Listings are posted free of charge and usually take less then 24 hours to be activated. You can even include a picture and videos in your ad
Browse listings
Find desired materials by browsing specific material categories, or by viewing 'Items under $99', 'Free Items', 'Wanted Items', or 'Sales and News Events'. The ERCexchange prefers all postings to be free or less than $99. To find listings for other classifieds like jobs, services and automobiles, please choose from the other classified categories below the ERCexchange or in the navigation menu on the left.
Make an exchange
When you find an interesting posting, select “reply to classified” and submit your inquiry directly to the advertiser, or contact the advertiser directly through their email address or phone number, if provided. Make contact, come to an agreement and arrange for pickup or delivery.
If you're advertising materials, once your listing is activated be sure to use the "email to a friend" function to send along to friends, family and co-workers... help spread the word about the ERCexchange!
Managing your ad
Transactions are carried out between interested parties on the ERCExchange. Therefore, once an item has been either sold or given away on the exchange, it is the responsibility of the posting user to update the classified ad. From the homepage, go to “My ERCexchange.” Under 'ERCexchange Ads' select the ad you want to update. To discontinue an ad, select “Active on Site” to “No.” Or to extent the period of the ad, select "Yes" from the "Active on Site" section, then select the duration to extend the ad. When all changes have been made, scroll down to “Update ERC Exchange" to save your changes.
Search Tips
If you are looking for a particular item and are not sure which category you'll find it in, use the built-in search engine to save time.
The search engine uses 'simple' syntax. For proper search results use single word queries (e.g. chair, not chair couch table).

What is this/why do we ask for the weight of your item?
Many times, residents and businesses find themselves with consumer goods that they no longer need or want. The primary focus of the ERCexchange is to divert those useable material items from the landfill. “Total Weight Saved” refers to the total amount of material pounds posted and exchanged, sold, or given away on the ERCexchange, thus withheld from the landfill! |
